Australia-Indonesia Working Group on Agriculture, Forestry and Food Cooperation (WGAFFC).
> Participation in bilateral meetings since 2003.
> Joint author of book “Food Exporters’ Guide to Indonesia” (2004).
> Review of Technical Operational Units in the Indonesian Department of Agriculture (UPTs) (2006).
> Training in livestock management and commercialisation for UPTs (2006).
> Intensive training for conversion to commercialisation of managements of 4 UPTs (2007).
> Review and project definition of a range of project proposals under WGAFFC
(2008-9).

AusAID—export and regional economic development
> IASTP III Small Medium Business Training in Australia (2006) lecturer.
> IASTP III Training Development and Delivery Skills for District and Provincial Economic Development—in Indonesia and Australia (2008) course designer and lead trainer.
> Export Workshops in Jakarta for Department Cooperatives and Small and Medium Business (2008) course designer and director.

AusAID and Department of Foreign Affairs
> Analysis of impacts on projects in Eastern Indonesia of Indonesia’s policy of decentralisation (1999-2001).
> Economic Study of the Eastern Islands of Indonesia (1998-99) in a joint team with the Indonesia Project of the Australian National University (ANU).

World Bank Group
> Investment Reform Program for Eastern Indonesia (as a member of a team for the Foreign Investment Advisory Service (FIAS). Presentations were made to the Minister for Investment and a committee of senior Indonesian officials. (several components 1998-2001).
> Phase 1 of the Indonesian Eastern Islands and Southern Philippines Private Sector Development Study (for the IFC 1997-98) concerning the environment for investment, and what was needed to create an enabling environment for investment especially in SMEs—all field work and report writing by Peter Dawson and Elaine McKay of PJDawson & Assiciates.

Commonwealth Secretariat London and Hardin & Associates
> Brunei Export Sector Investment Promotion Program to Northern Australia, Indonesia, Southern Philippines and East Malaysia 1997-98) The project was linked to the Brunei Indonesia Malaysia Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA initiative) and involved work in Brunei and East Malaysia.

International Wool Secretariat (IWS—formerly) now Australian Wool Innovation Limited (WIL)
> Study to establish a wool processing industry in Indonesia involving a survey of the Indonesian fashion and textile industry and the development of a business strategy for the International Wool Secretariat.
> Project management of major promotional event for “cool wool” in Jakarta—fashion parade, technical seminar.
> Project management of development of a “batik on wool” project supported by the IWS, the CSIRO and other Australian agencies. (circa 1995-96).

Assisting Australian SMEs to develop and commercialise new products
Peter has worked with a wide range of companies in the development of strategic business plans to guide growth and secure investment. Examples are:

> metal fabricating business
> personnel services businesses

> Education software
> Internet Protocol (IP) telephony company
